The intense fruitiness of this beguiling wine suggests rich sweetness, but it shows a surprisingly dry and aromatic finish. A delicate yellow colour, tinged with the variety's typical 'green-gold' hue, it bursts out of the glass with apricot, peach and spice aromas. As it matures, it can also display hints of jasmine, honeysuckle, kiwi, mint, orange blossom and even mango! While higher in alcohol than many white wines, it drinks well young nonetheless. Lower acidity makes it friendly to a wide range of foods, but it’s 'soft but strong' character makes it excellent for sipping alone.

Brew King’s biggest, boldest white wine ever. In the spirit of the great full-bodied Chardonnays of California and Australia, Luna Bianca is lush, golden and rich. Dense, luscious, buttery aromas dance up from the glass. Flavours of tropical fruits blend with the vanilla-oak backing - a technique usually achieved through barrel fermentation with extended lees (yeast sediment) contact. Selection SYMPHONY, an encore performance!
A past Limited Edition favourite in 2002 and 2004, we are excited to announce that Selection Symphony (one of the most popular varieties ever in the history of the Limited Edition Program) has been added to Selection Original Series. Symphony is a white grape that defies tradition and convention. It is a crossing of two French grapes: Muscat of Alexandria, a white grape of intensely aromatic, ‘grapey’ character, and Grenache Gris, a red grape with bold fruity aromas and zesty acidity. The resulting wine has incredibly intense aromas of melon, grapefruit, mango, peach, banana and papaya. The fruity character picks up a strong backbone from the good acidity and hint of tannin carried over from the Grenache Gris. The name was endowed by a wine scientist who tasted one of the first finished wines made from the new grape and declared that it showed ‘a Symphony of aromas and flavours.’ Selection Symphony is fabulous as a social wine, for sitting on the patio with friends, and is excellent with spicy foods like Szechuan or even Mexican. It’s also great with sliced mango and papaya.

CABERNET FRANC Wine Making Kit - Selection Premium. Cabernet Franc, one of the five major grape varieties of Bordeaux, has been producing high quality wines since the 18th century. Interestingly, it’s the parent and step-parent to Cabernet Sauvignon, because Sauvignon Blanc is a white Cabernet Franc mutant, and when re-crossed with Cabernet Franc, it produced Cabernet Sauvignon. Although they can seem very similar, the differences between Franc and Sauvignon are readily apparent when grown in close proximity. Cabernet Franc vines bear thinner-skinned, earlier-ripening grapes with lower overall acidity than Cabernet Sauvignon. Yields are similar, although Cabernet Franc normally buds and ripens somewhat earlier. Consequently vineyards, in climates where rain is a harvest-time threat, often plant this grape in place of or in addition to Cabernet Sauvignon. Cabernet Franc vines survive cold winters better than Cabernet Sauvignon but are more susceptible to being damaged by Spring frosts. France has the most Cabernet Franc plantings of any wine producing nation with over 35,000 acres. There are signifi cant plantings of Cabernet Franc in St. Emilion, the Loire Valley (where it is known as Breton), and south west France (a . k . a . Bouchy). There are Cabernet Franc vineyards in Romania, Hungary, the Balkans, and the Friuli region of north eastern Italy. New plantings in the 1990’s in Australia, New Zealand, and Argentina show promise. In the United States, Cabernet Franc is planted in New York, California and Washington State. Depending on terroir and vineyard practices, the flavour profi le of Cabernet Franc is fruitier and sometimes more herbal than Cabernet Sauvignon. Typically somewhat spicy in aroma and often reminiscent of plums and especially violets, Cabernet Franc is more often used in varietally-blended red wines, such as Bordeaux or Meritage, although it is excellent as a stand-alone varietal. Winexpert’s Selection Cabernet Franc has ruby colour, lush, ripe flavours of blueberries and raspberries, framed by elegant oak, vanilla, tobacco and fine leather notes.
