Unlike table top & screw style fruit presses that use a moving screw & plate, these presses use a stationary threaded shaft with a ratcheting head to do the pressing with a greater amount of pressure, torque & capacity. Select a press that will meet your pressing requirements. Generally, 2 cases of grapes will yield 6 gallons of wine. Each case of grapes weighs approximately 36 pounds. A No. 30 press will accommodate 2 cases of grapes at one pressing. Grape press includes: 1) A pressed steel base with threaded shaft & drain pan. 2) Split wood basket with metal bands, hinges & pins. 3) Wood pressing plate & wood blocks. 4) Ratcheting head with metal locking keys. Heavy baked on enamal, steel hopper. This model grape crusher, sometimes called a grinder, has mixer paddles to keep the fruit moving. It has a 21'' x 25'' PAINTED hopper, 48'' long handle/barrel rests, paddles and grinding heads mounted on nylon rollers with good solid gears. The heavy weight flywheel is painted with a solid wood handle. This is a great traditional, hand crank style grape crusher at an economical price. It can be motorized by the end user. Just place this over a large barrel or tub, dump the grapes into the top of the hopper, and turn the flywheel crank. The crusher will gently break open the grape skins. Usually available year-round. You can operate your crusher/destemmer without one but it won't be near as easy or fun. Add one to your order. Freight added as a seperate charge when shipped. This heavy duty stand for any of our crusher - destemmers includes sturdy legs and a painted chute with splash guard. Baked on off white enamel finish on legs and frame. Fruit comes down the front chute into your juice container while the stems are pushed out the end into a your trash can. Can now be ordered as a seperate item. Some assembly required. Stainless steel hopper. Same as our #5520 except has A finger and blade grate design to slice through harder fruits for better processing and pressing. Blade grate is easily removed from the hopper bottom so unit can be used just like a standard grape crusher.
