Wine making - Beer making - Campden tablets - Potassium metabisulfite - One-Step cleanser - Star san

One Step Cleanser / Sanitizer - Assorted Sizes
One Step Cleanser / Sanitizer - Assorted Sizes
    Quantity
One Step Cleanser / Sanitizer -Assorted Sizes. Use 1 tablespoon per gallon. This oxygen based cleanser sanitizes on contact. Environmentally friendly and non-toxic. No rinsing required. What makes One Step different from other powdered cleansers? One Step is an environmentally sound no-rinse cleanser. Other powdered cleansers either require rinsing due to their alkaline nature or use materials that can be harmful to the ecosystem. One Step uses active oxygen to do its work. One Step is a unique substance which consists of oxygen entrained with a mineral crystal. When added to water, this crystal dissolves and releases the oxygen in such a way to form hydrogen peroxide. The hydrogen peroxide does its work and degrades into oxygen and water, leaving only the minerals behind. Those minerals are naturally occuring compounds in the environment and are quite stable.

    Easy Clean No-Rinse Powdered Cleanser/Sanitizer
    Quantity
Oxygen based cleanser/sanitizer so no rinsing is required. Great at removing stains from carboys and equipment. The ONLY cleaner/sanitizer you need for bottles, corks, caps and all your other equipment. 1 tablespoon per gallon of WARM water makes the solution. Then just wash and drain. Choose from an 8 oz jar or 5 lb pail.

    Why Easy Clean (One Step)?

    • Oxygen: High oxygen level provided through a dry form of hydrogen peroxide minimizes contact time necessary for Easy Clean (One Step) to cleanse.
    • No Rinsing: Minimizes the risk of recontamination by maintaining contact with the clean surface.
    • Aeration: Since there is no rinsing, the supplied oxygen gives the yeast an initial boost.
    • Non-Staining: Unlike other no-rinse cleansers, Easy Clean (One Step) won't stain skin, clothing or surfaces.
    • Cleansing: Provides good detergency for light duty cleaning.
    • Non-Toxic: Not harmful to the user in any way.
    • Environmentally Sound: Contains no ecologically harmful substances and quickly biodegrade's into naturally occurring substances.
    • Usage Requirements: One Tablespoon per gallon of warm water and soak or rinse equipment with solution.
    • Contains no harmful ingredients so Easy Clean (One Step) is an ideal no-rinse cleanser.
    • For best results, Easy Clean (One Step) requires a 30 second contact time.
What is the difference between a sanitizer and a cleanser?

    • In the U.S.A., the word sanitizer is a legal term defined by the Environmental Protection Agency. In order for a product to be called a sanitizer in promotional literature or on its packaging, that product must be approved by the EPA, assigned a registration number, and have an open file maintained with the EPA. Unless a company would like to invest an enormous amount of capitol in this process (or use another company's product through a process called "sub-registration"), they may not call their product a sanitizer.
    • If you purchase a bottle of bleach from the grocery store, unless it shows an EPA registration number on the front of the label, it is not a sanitizer. However, it will certainly be a good cleanser (although somewhat hazardous, not environmentally sound, and it will require rinsing).
    • Is Easy Clean (One Step) a sanitizer?
    • Read the above question and draw your own conclusions. Easy Clean (One Step) has been used with excellent results since 1992.
    • For best results, Easy Clean (One Step) requires a 30 second contact time.
    • If you feel you must sanitize equipment and bottles for added protection after cleaning, use your favorite sanitizer or use 2 oz of sodium or potassium metabisulphite and mix with 1 gallon of water. Coat all surfaces and remove excess by draining or let drip dry. There is no need to completely dry sulphite solution before using equipment or filling bottles with wine or beer.

    STRAIGHT-A PREMIUM CLEANSER
    Quantity
Use 1 tablespoon per gallon of water. Cleans with oxygen & does not contain any chlorine, bisulphites, organic compounds or phosphates. Superior wetting power helps water penetrate & lift soils off surfaces. Removes labels with minimum soak time. Higher alkalinity dissolves & neutralizes acidic soils. Environmentally sound & biodegradable.

    Why Straight A?

    • Alkalinity: Neutralizes and dissolves acidic soils typical in beer and wine making.
    • Wetting: Helps water to penetrate and lift beerstone and other soil from surfaces.
    • Detergency: Provides cleaning power so there is less scrubbing and soaking.
    • Oxygen: Eliminates impurities to insure that your beer doesn't sour or gush.
    • Non-Corrosive: Actually protects metal from corrosion!
    • Non-Toxic: Contains no dangerous materials and is safe to handle.
    • Environmentally Sound: Contains no phosphates, no caustics, and readily biodegrades to naturally occuring substances.
    • Usage: Dissolve one tablespoon per gallon of warm water, soak or clean equipment with the solution, and rinse with water.
    • To sanitize equipment and bottles after cleaning, use your favorite sanitizer or use 2 oz of sodium or potassium metabisulphite and mix with 1 gallon of water. Coat all surfaces and remove excess by draining or let drip dry. There is no need to completely dry sulphite solution before using equipment or filling bottles with wine or beer.

    PBW - POWDERED BREWERY WASH
    Quantity
PBW - POWDERED BREWERY WASH. P.B.W. Environmentally friendly, caustic replacement with multiple uses. P.B.W. is a buffered alkaline detergent that has been proven to be more than an effective substitute for caustic soda cleaners. Because of its unique formulation of buffers and mild alkalis, it is safe on skin as well as soft metals such as stainless steel, aluminum, and on plastics. P.B.W. uses active oxygen to penetrate carbon or protein soils and is not effected by hard water. The oxygen also helps in reducing B.O.D. and C.O.D. in wastewater, which is an added environmental benefit. P.B.W. has been formulated as a C.I.P. cleaner and is very effective in removing protein soils found on brew kettles, fermenters, conditioning tanks, filters and all packaging areas. The concentrations to remove these soils are typically in the 1% range. However, due to soil and water conditions this concentration will vary. To help in hard water areas P.B.W. has been formulated with enough chelators to tolerate hard water over 17 grains. P.B.W. is an excellent choice as a soak cleaner because it does not require excessive heat as do most caustic based cleaners. This product has cleaned brass and copper filters, and industrial aluminum surfaces successfully. BENEFITS: Replaces Caustic Soda cleaners. Effective at All Temperatures. Free Rinsing. Safe on Polycarbonate surfaces. Safe to handle. Generates 4 - 5 per cent Oxygen. Non-hazardous & Non-corrosive. Excellent hard water tolerance. Removes protein soil and staining, baked on carbon, and fatty acids. Use 2 oz per 5 gallons warm water, soak for 30 minutes and rinse with warm water.
