80l Bladder (Water) Press - 80 Liters (21 Gallons)

Be the first to review this product

80L Bladder (Water) Press. The bladder press was designed to improve the traditional wooden-basket ratchet-style press. A rubber bladder expands from the stem outward using water pressure- pressing the fruit against the sides of the cage. This style of pressing is much more subtle and softer on the fruit, not allowing bitter tannins to be extracted from cracked seeds. This is also a more efficient method of pressing- cutting the cycle down to less than half the time a ratchet-style press would take. Water is recommended to inflate the press rather than air. No more than 30psi is needed for most fruits. Comes with a stainless cage, painted lid and basin, along with mesh liner and plastic splash guard. Drain pipe, pressure release valve and pressure gauge all included. Capacity: 80 liters/21.00 gallons. SOME ASSEMBLY MAY BE REQUIRED.
E-mail us at info@homebrewit.com for a truck freight quote. Please include your zip code. Notes on Using a Water Press: These are water presses, not pneumatic presses. Use with water, not air pressure. Household water pressure is more than sufficient to operate the press. Air compressors pose the risk of injury to the operator and damage to the press if the bladder ruptures. On the other hand, there is no risk of damage to the press or injury to the operator if the bladder ruptures under water pressure. Be careful to avoid stems or any sharp item from getting into the press for fear of it puncturing the bladder. Most holes can be patched (hot patch at a tire repair shop). You can apply talc or a thin coating of vegetable oil during the off season to extend the life of the rubber bladder. Capacity 400 lbs of DESTEMMED grapes. NOTE: COLOR MAY BE RED OR GREEN. MOST ARRIVE IN GREEN.
