Wine Making Corks

Quality Wine and Ale Supply and Nomacorc® have joined forces to offer you the #1 synthetic cork on the market! ''What’s so special about these corks?'' you ask. The answer is the manufacturing process. Other types of synthetic corks are injection molded which is a batch process that produces corks with variations in density and cell structure size resulting in inconsistent protection of your wine. Nomacorcs® are made by a unique, patented, co-extrusion process that binds the interior and exterior sections of the cork by heat adhesion. Extrusion molding is a continuous process that provides a very consistent quality, and every cork is exactly the same. Nomacorc® is simply a better closure because its uniform, small, closed cell structure creates a better barrier from oxygen and preserves the quality of your wine. They have made for us a 9 x 1½ cork, printed with the Nomacorc® logo. We’ve tested the corks and they work best with floor corkers but can be used with hand corkers too. These corks seal instantly and the bottle can be inverted for storage directly after corking. You can also use any common corkscrew to open your wine bottles. This is modern technology that preserves your wine and we are pleased to be able to offer it to you. Recommended for use with all floor corkers and also for twin lever corkers. These corks will provide at least 5 years of wine protection during aging.

Micro agglomerated wine corks. Our No. 7 x 1-1/2 inch. This size cork can be inserted by hand in a standard 750ml or 375ml wine bottle. Just get the cork started by hand then finish inserting by pushing the cork in using a door jamb or sturdy wall. AGLICA (ALTEC TYPE) WINE CORKS - No. 9 x 1 3/4 - Developed for the wine industry to address corkiness, inconsistency, random oxidation, and leakage, these corks are made from Suberin, the purest part of cork, that is blended with a proprietary polymer which enhances the natural elasticity and sealing properties of the cork. The corks are symmetrical and totally natural in appearance. (AGLICA CORKS HAVE REPLACE ALTEC CORKS)

1-3/4 inch long corks provide up to 5 years of protection for aging. Our premium corks are agglomerated and non-chamfered. You will find minimal flaws with these high quality corks. Use with floor corkers only.

Tapered corks for oils, liquors, temporary closures and upright storage. Can be inserted by hand. #7 have a 13/16 inch top, 5/8 inch bottom. #8 have a 7/8 inch top, 11/16 inch bottom. #9 have a 15/16 inch top, 3/4 inch bottom. Fits most regular size wine bottles.

T-top, otherwise known as bar top, tasting corks in your choice of quality. GOOD are made from standard cork dust and resin and are good for occasional use or short term storage. BETTER are made from Altec brand cork, extremly nice cork quality and have a slightly smaller plastic T-top head. A recommended upgrade from good. BEST are made by Nomacorc Synthetic cork and are great for frequent use, liquors, vinegars, cooking oils and are reusable and odor resistant. All fit 375ml, 750ml, 1.5 liter and ice wine (bellisima) bottles. Will not fit 187ml Champagne bottles (use a tapered for these). T-top corks are designed to be inserted all the way in by twisting and pushing and removed by twisting and pulling. Standard size shrink caps work with these tops. Good for use while tasting or sampling a bottle of wine. Keeps open bottle from being spilled and plastic serrated top aids in easy removal. Can be inserted by hand. Not recommend for lay down storage of any liquid but upright storage is fine. Great when using wine bottles as promo's filled with red hots, M&M's or when sending wedding or party invitations in a bottle.

All Plastic Tasting Corks - T Top Corks - Bag of 25. This ALL PLASTIC T-Top (pull top cork) is design especially for still wines, distilled spirits, and other liquid products such as vinegar and olive oils. They form a leak-proof seal if used on our 187 ml champagne bottles. Great choice if using 187 ml bottles for wedding favors or handing out wine as a thank you to your wedding guests. Our standard size shrink caps fit perfectly and dress up any bottle. They also fit 375 ml, 750 ml, and 1.5 liter bottles as a tasting cork only. Integrated one piece construction. No opener is required to remove cork.
