Select a press that will meet your pressing requirements. Generally, 2 cases of grapes will yield 6 gallons of wine. Each case of grapes weighs approximately 36 pounds. A No. 30 press will accommodate 2 cases of grapes at one pressing. Aluminum / Stainless Steel Fruit Press - Basket 8 inch x 7 inch. Screw press for grapes, soft fruit and cheese making. This press is made with cast aluminum pressing head, handle and cross-member framework. The legs, perforated basket, juice guard and spout are all stainless steel and complete the unit. Suited for pressing grapes and soft fruits allowing the juice to run out free through the spout while containing the fruit (pumice) in the perforated basket. Nylon bags or cheese cloth help contain the fruit or curds also. When used for cheese, it can press curd from up to 2 gallons of milk. The internal draining basket in perforated to allow for release of the whey. The basket is 9 inch round by 8 inch tall. To use, rinse and sanitize, turn the handle counter clockwise to raise the pressing plate, put in the fruit and turn the handle clockwise to press. Rinse with warm water after using. Shipped fully assembled and ready for use. Food grade lubricant has been applied to the screw mechanism for smooth operation and long life.

Screw type press for one person operation. 8 inch diameter x 9 inch tall stainless steel basket holds about 5 to 6 lbs of pressed fruit. Can be easily mounted to a work bench. Top tilts out of the way for easy loading and cleaning.

The bladder press was designed to improve the traditional wooden-basket ratchet-style press. A rubber bladder expands from the stem outward using water pressure- pressing the fruit against the sides of the cage. This style of pressing is much more subtle and softer on the fruit, not allowing bitter tannins to be extracted from cracked seeds. This is also a more efficient method of pressing- cutting the cycle down to less than half the time a ratchet-style press would take. Water is recommended to inflate the press rather than air. No more than 30psi is needed for most fruits. Comes with a stainless cage, painted lid and basin, along with mesh liner and plastic splash guard.
