Amoretti blueberry flavoring gives you all the goodness of fresh blueberry in an easy to use form! Starting usage is 0.5 to 1% by weight, or approximately 3.5 to 7 oz. by weight for a 5 gallon batch. This flavoring can be added to taste at bottling or kegging time to give your fermented beverage a blueberry flavor that can't be beat! Use this in beer, wine, cider, mead, whatever your mind can come up with. As these are sugar-based flavorings, it is best to add them in secondary, and a small amount of renewed fermentation may be experienced. Give Amoretti flavorings a try, and you may never go back to using other extracts or purees!
The Artisan Flavorings are best when added to the fermenter. Amoretti recommends adding when fermentation is roughly 75% percent complete. They can also be added after primary fermentation is complete. The recommended way to add the flavorings is to boil a few cups of water, allow to cool to 170 - 190F, then mix in your desired flavoring amount. This will help dissolve the flavoring into solution. Further cool this solution to roughly the same temperature as your beer or wine, stirring occasionally, then add. If adding at kegging time, it is best to add to beer or wine that has been clarified and no longer has active yeast. Thorough mixing in the keg is recommended. It is not recommended to add at bottling time, as the sugars in the flavoring could cause bottles to become overcarbonated and burst.
