Spicy, blackcurrant and citrus (grapefruit) tones - Excellent high alpha variety with balanced bittering and aroma characteristics; mainly used for bittering, but finding favor as a dual purpose variety. Possible Substitutions: Brewer’s Gold, Columbus, Nugget. Typical Beer Style: English-Style Ale.
Developed in the USDA breeding program in Idaho in 1968 and released in 1978.
